For an easier view of who's speaking I've colour coded the speech and here's the guide: James, Jesse, Meowth, Brock, Misty, Ash, Pikachu, Togepi. Yeah...I l the trees and love was in the air...Ash, Misty and Brock were lost in the forest yet again (so no change MISTY - "YOUR ALWAYS GETTING US LOST ASH!"
ASH - "YEAH WELL I'M NOT THE ONE WITH THE MAP, BROCK IS, SHOUT AT HIM!"
MISTY - "ASH! YOU KNOW HOW BROCK CAN GET EASILY DISTRACTED!" (she points to him going over all gooey eyed at Daria) "ANYWAY HE CAN'T READ MAPS HIS EYES ARE ALWAYS CLOSED!"
ASH - "NO HE'S SQUINTING!"
MISTY - "HIS EYES ARE CLOSED ASH!"
ASH - "HE'S SQUINTING!"
MISTY - "CLOSED!"
ASH - "SQUINTING!"
Daria is watching them looking a little out of place.
DARIA - "yes well I think I'll be leaving now!"
BROCK - "Why?"
DARIA - "I just have to go!"
BROCK - "Well before you do..." "...could you give me your phone number, e-mail...home address if possible!"
Daria just sighs and walks off...Brock just sighs and looks at the ground while Ash and Misty are still arguing! Suddenly two very familiar voices are heard coming from the bushes.

JESSE - "The twerps are in love so prepare for trouble!"
JAMES - "It's a good thing were here so make it double!"
They jump out of the bushes and land in front of the three friends.
JESSE - "To protect the world from devastation!"
JAMES - "To unite all peoples within our nation!"
JESSE - "To denounce the evils of truth and LOVE!"
JAMES - "To extend our reach to the stars above!"
JESSE - "Jesse!"
JAMES - "James!"
JESSE - "Team Rocket blast off at the speed of light!"
JAMES - "Surrender now or prepare to fight!"
MEOWTH - "Meowth dat's right!"
Ash and Co have all fallen asleep right in front of them...not thinking that they could swipe Pikachu at a time like this Jesse yells at them.
JESSE - "HOW DARE YOU FALL ASLEEP DURING OUR MOTTO!"
Ash and Co wake up.
ASH - "Sorry but your motto is worse than Jigglypuff's song!"
MISTY - "Yeah so why don't you three just go away for once and leave us alone!"
JESSE - "Ha! No can do twerp!"
JAMES - "When we were watching you from the bushes we noticed that you three seriously needed help with your love life's!"
JESSE - "So we're here to help...all it will cost you is one Pikachu...just one Pikachu for eternal happiness together...I think that's a fair deal!"
ASH - (Grabbing Pikachu tightly) "No way....anyway I don't love anyone except my Pokémon!"
Jesse and James just laugh!
JESSE - "Yes well what about Misty...she's young, vibrant...nearly cute...that needs some work!"
Misty gets angry and gets ready to pound Jesse but Brock holds her back.
ASH - "Ewwwwwww...no way I don't like her!"
MISTY - "YEAH AND I DON'T LIKE HIM, anyway I wouldn't ask you two for help with my love life no matter who it was!"
Suddenly Brock runs up to Jesse and James with the pen and notepad!
BROCK - "Quick tell me everything that you know!"
Misty grabs his ear and drags him off.
MISTY - Come on romance boy...your getting WAY too desperate!"
MEOWTH - (with a huge smile across his face) "Ha! I don't blame yous twerps for not wanting lessons on love from dese two...dey kinda need it demselves!"
Suddenly Jesse and James glare evilly at Meowth both blushing.
JESSE - "What do you mean by that!"
MEOWTH - ""Awwwww...c'mon...if I had a dollar for everytime yous two 'ave hugged and flirted wit each udder I'd be a millionaire by now!"
BROCK - "Actually now you mention it they always do seem a bit close don't they!"
MISTY - "Yeah! Real Close!"
JESSE - "Arrrggghhh! We've never done any of that!"
JAMES - "Were just friends, that's all!"
ASH - "Yeah right!"
MISTY - "Why are you two blushing then?"
JAMES - "Erm.........it's really hot!"
BROCK - (sarcastically) "Yeah right WE believe you!"
JESSE - We don't have to take any of this from any of you!
JAMES - Yeah we're leaving!
Jesse and James turn around and begin to leave, Meowth watches them for a few seconds then runs after them franticly!
MEOWTH - Hey yous guys wait for Meowth!
Jesse and James stop to turn around and look at him.
JESSE - No your staying here!
JAMES - That's right
JESSE - We don't associate with big mouthed cats who spread rumors that aren't true!
MEOWTH - But it is true....yous two just don't know it yet!
JESSE - That's it! (She gets out an extremely large mallet and whacks Meowth with it, Meowth goes flying and lands at the feet of Ash and Co! - Jesse then turns back to James) Lets go!
JAMES - Right!
They leave....Meowth is still on the ground looking and sounding a bit dazed.
MEOWTH - Dat's da last time I tell da truth!
PIKACHU - (Scratching it's head nervously with a huge sweatdrop on it's forehead) Pika Pika?

Jesse and James meanwhile are still walking through the wood.
JAMES - Jess...
JESSE - Yeah James
JAMES - What if he's right?
JESSE - Who?
JAMES - Meowth! About us!
JESSE - Ha! Don't make me laugh...us two involved!
JAMES - Hummmm....guess not then!
JESSE - That's right....I'm starved...lets get something to eat!
James nods and the two head into town!

About an hour later Jesse and James are sat in a small cafe just finishing a meal.
JAMES - Man....that was good....I don't think I could eat anything else!
JESSE - I gotta admit with Meowth not being here there was more for us!
JAMES - You said it!
JESSE - (She sees Meowth approaching their table) Ahhhhh....speaking of the furball look whose here! Meowth gets to their table and looks up at them.
MEOWTH - (Eyeing up a piece of chicken they have left) Yous guys gonna eat dat?
JESSE - Hummmm....let me think! Maybe...are you gonna apologize for what you said in front of the twerps earlier?
MEOWTH - No way.....I stand by what I said!
JAMES - Well you don't get any of our left overs!
JESSE - (To James) Wait James....maybe we can use this to our advantage!
JAMES - How Jesse?
Jesse stands up and holds the piece of Chicken high up in the air so meowth can't get it.
JESSE - Okay Meowth I'll let you have this only if you say "Jesse and James are the best Pokémon trainers in the whole world and they've trained me perfectly!"
MEOWTH - No I won't say it!
JESSE - Too bad no food for you!
MEOWTH - that's not fair!
JAMES - We're just getting you back for embarrassing us earlier!
JESSE - Yes...now say it cat!
Meowth looks at the food in Jesse's hand then sighs!
MEOWTH - (Quietly) Jesse and James are the best Pokémon trainers in the whole world and they've trained me perfectly!
JESSE - I can't hear you!
MEOWTH - (Shouting as loud as he can) JESSE AND JAMES ARE THE BEST POKÉMON TRAINERS IN THE WHOLE WORLD AND THEY'VE TRAINED ME PERFECTLY NOW GIMMIE DA FOOD!
Jesse tosses the food to Meowth, he catches it and eats it quickly as Jesse sits back down.
JESSE - Now we're even!
MEOWTH - Yeah well yous two still like each other!
Jesse stands up quickly getting ready to stomp on her feline friend but Meowth quickly runs off before she has the chance to. With that James just grabs her arm.
JAMES - Just ignore him Jess!
JESSE - Fine....are we going now!
JAMES - Yeah I just need to go to the bathroom!
JESSE - Well I'll wait outside for you!
JAMES - Okay I'll be out in a minute!
With that the two friends part ways.

A few minutes later in the bathroom, James is stood at a mirror looking at himself...the place seems empty so begins to talk to himself in the mirror.
JAMES - (To himself) I can't believe that all this time Meowth knew how I felt about Jesse...(He gives out a large sigh) I've got to tell her today whether she likes me or not...but how! (He stands up straight in the mirror and tries to look confident) Jesse....we've known each other for a while and....no that'll never work....Jess when two people like each other....no....Jesse I've liked you for a while now and...oh I give up!
With that he sighs, closes his eyes and rests his head against the mirror deep in thought...but his eyes shoot wide open again when a toilet flushes behind him. He turns around quickly to see Brock coming out of one of the cubicles.
BROCK - (To James) Who exactly were you talking to James?
JAMES - (Blushing and all flustered) Er...erm...er....hummm..er....gotta go!
With that he runs out of the bathroom quickly, Brock just shakes his head as he does so.

James runs outside to see Jesse waiting patiently for him. He runs up to her and she notices how flustered he looks.
JESSE - What's wrong with you!
JAMES - Errrrr....nothing....nothing at all....can we go now please!
JESSE - Sure...sure...whatever!
The two of them walk off across the street!!!!!!!

About five minutes later the two of them were sat in the shade of a giant tree in a park. They had let out their Pokémon who were now frolicking happily by the small lake in front of them! Occasionally James looked over at Jesse who was trying to sunbathe...he couldn't tell if her eyes were opened or closed as she had bought a pair of sunglasses. He sighed and looked back at their four Pokémon...Arbok and Weezing were behaving themselves perfectly but Victeribelle was running after people trying to eat their heads and Lickitung kept attacking the people with picnics stealing all their food! What a day!
JESSE - (staying absolutely still laying on the grass) James...
JAMES - Yeah!
JESSE - You keep sighing....anything wrong?
JAMES - No I'm fine.
JESSE - You sure don't sound it!
Jesse sat up and took off her sunglasses to reveal her crystal blue eyes, James swallowed hard.
JAMES - Well......it's just....I wanna kinda tell you something.....but I'm really worried that it'll affect our friendship if I do!
JESSE - I doubt it will......look whatever happened in that bathroom is fine by me....just try not to be too graphic!
James just giggled to himself.
JAMES - Don't worry...it was nothing...graphic!"
JESSE - Okay then....go ahead tell me what's wrong!
James took a deep breath.
JAMES - Well I thought I was all alone in there so i started talking to myself in the mirror....and Brock was there!"
JESSE - Gee, is that all, you get embarrassed way to easily!
JAMES - It wasn't that that embarrassed me...it was what I was talking about that did!
JESSE - (Getting a little bit suspicious) Go on.....
JAMES - (Sighs) "Well....erm...I was trying to figure out a way how to tell you about how I feel!
JESSE - How you feel.....about what?
JAMES - You!
JESSE - Oh
Both of them begin to blush a lot and tried very hard not to meet each others eyes, but they found that there eyes kept meeting no matter how hard they tried.
JESSE - So....how do you feel?
James really didn't know how to respond to that....he just thought for an answer....but he couldn't find one!!!!!!
JESSE - Are you gonna answer that?
JAMES - Erm....well...(He moves closer to her and holds her hand) ...ever since I knew you...i've had these feelings...at first I ignored them...well I've been ignoring them until this very day...but today I really wanted to tell you about them...cos I felt like I couldn't live with this secret for any longer Jess...I guess I'm trying to tell you that...I love...you!"
Jesse didn't respond to this...she just looked at James, frowning! So James took a chance with her...he kissed her on the lips. At first Jesse seemed slightly surprised but eventually just let him do it. Infact she kinda joined in, she began to run her fingers through his blue hair. After a while the two pulled away and stared at each other. Suddenly Jesse stands up and gets out her Pokéballs.
JESSE - (To her Pokémon) Lickitung....Arbok return!"
Her Pokémon vanish into the Pokéballs she then began to run off. James quickly stood up, called his Pokémon back and ran after her calling her name.
JAMES - Jesse, Jesse, come back, where are you going?
But it was no good, she ran out into the street and vanished into the distance. James stopped running and decided to let her have some time on her own, so he walked off the opposite way!

Eventually James found himself walking into the local pokémon center....he had no idea why but it was a place to go. He was wearing some sunglasses that he had bought the same time as Jesse to hide his eyes as he had cried sevreal times after Jesse ran off...so this was just incase he bumped into Ash and Co or meowth and sure enough the twerps were in the Pokémon center...waiting for their Pokémon to be returned to them. He just sighed and slumped down in a chair making sure he didn't look directly at Ash and his friends.
MISTY - (Whispering to Ash and Brock) James looks kinda depressed!
BROCK - (Whispering back) Maybe we should go over and cheer him up!
ASH - I think we should just leave him!
PIKACHU - Pipi pika pikachu pika! (Well I'm gonna go over!)
With that Pikachu jumps off the seat it was stood on and runs over to James. It stands at his feet and looks up at him!
PIKACHU - Pi pikachu? (You okay?)
James really didn't know what Pikachu was talking about, he wasn't the best at understanding Pokémon speech, he just smiled and petted it. Pikachu squealed with happiness as he did so.
ASH - (To Brock and Misty) Why isn't he trying to steal it?
James quickly looks up at Ash and scowls at him.
JAMES - Maybe because I have other things on my mind at the moment twerp!
ASH - Okay okay....just wondering... (He pauses) ...where's Jesse?
James sighs, stands up and leaves the Pokémon center...Ash and co just watch him leave.
ASH - "Was it something I said?
Brock and Misty just sigh and shake their heads at Ash...they kinda had an idea why James was depressed...all they had to do was put two and two together....but Ash had always been a little bit slow on the uptake!

Meanwhile Jesse was sat on the edge of a pavement on a bridge. She was silently staring at the ground deep in thought...stood around her was Arbok and Lickitung who she had let back out of their Pokéballs for comfort. Lickitung licked her which knocked her backwards so she fell onto her back on the pavement.
JESSE - (Sighs) Thanks!
Suddenly she heard a familiar voice.
MEOWTH - Jesse...
She sat up to see Meowth stood not to far away from her.
JESSE - Go away meowth!
MEOWTH - What's wrong? where's James? Did yous two 'ave a little lovers tiff?
JESSE - (Shoutng at him) JUST SHUT UP AND GO AWAY!
With that Jesse stood up and walked over to the wall at the edge of the bridge and looked into her refelection below!
MEOWTH - (Being more serious now) Something has happened ain't it?
JESSE - Not that it's any of your business!
MEOWTH - Wanna tell me about it?
JESSE - No!
MEOWTH - Okay okay I'll leave!
Meowth begins to walk away but Jesse's voice stops him.
JESSE - Fine, I'll tell you, but promise not to make a big deal out of it!
Meowth jumps up on to the wall of the bridge beside where Jesse is stood. Jesse sighs and begins.
JESSE - He kissed me!
MEOWTH - That's good!
JESSE - Well yeah....I guess but...(Sigh) ...I dunno...I just felt awkward afterwards...so I ran away from him!
Meowth thinks for a while, rubbing his chin as he does so.
MEOWTH - Maybe it's 'cos yous don't like showing your true feelins so when he kissed you, you felt embarrassed cos you did something dat came from da heart!
JESSE - Since when did you become such a good psycartrist!
MEOWTH - Since being teamed up wit yous two...I learned more 'bout humans wit yous den I ever 'ave in my entire life!
JESSE - (sarcastically) Glad I could help!
MEOWTH - But now you 'ave to find out if you love him or not!
JESSE - How?
MEOWTH - Geez, I can't tells yous everything you know!
Jesse just sighed and looked back at her reflection in the river below!

Back with James, he is glumly walking through the streets of the town with his hands in his pockets. Now night was setting in and it was getting dark, but James really didn't notice it his mind was fixed on Jesse the whole time. He eventually got to a street corner, he turned it only to come face to face with Jesse and Meowth who were walking the opposite way. The two of them just stopped dead and looked at each other.
MEOWTH - Well I tink I should leave yous two love birds alone! see yous later!
With that Meowth walked off, leaving James and Jesse on their own. The two didn't move for a while, they simply just looked at each other nervously. Eventually james walked towards Jesse and held out his hand.
JAMES - C'mon!
Jesse pauses then slowly takes his hand. The two then slowly walk hand in hand through the streets of the town.
JESSE - Where are we going James?
JAMES - You'll see!
Eventually the two reached a small secluded place on a beach (a beach, a park, a forest....man this town rocks!) anyway the two sit down on the sand and look out to sea which sparkled in the bright moonlight.
JAMES - Kinda romantic, don't you think?
JESSE - Yeah....I guess so!
JAMES - You okay?
JESSE - Not really!
With that she gets up and slowly walks a bit further away from him then stops and again looks at the moon. James gets up and walks up to her slowly.
JAMES - look if you don't wanna be with me as more than a friend just say so and I'll back off...but my feelings will never go away!
Jesse didn't reply, nor did she look at him, she just stood still shivering slightly as the sea breeze was quite cold.
JAMES - U cold?
Jesse nods. James slowly put his arms around her and holds her tight. Jesse buried her face in his chest and closed her eyes, she felt more close to her friend now than ever in the whole time she had known him.
JESSE - James....
JAMES - Hummmmmmm
JESSE - I love you too!
James looked at her and she looked back with a beaming smile on her face.
JAMES - You mean it?
JESSE - Yeah....I guess I was just scared....that's all!
JAMES - Scared of what!
JESSE - I know it sounds stupid....but I was scared of feeling loved....I guess because everyone that I have ever loved has left me......my mother....my father....my ex-boyfriend.....
JAMES - And how long have you loved me...
JESSE - As a boyfriend....about a minute...as just a friend....about seven or eight years"
JAMES - And have I left you yet?
JESSE - No! Where are you going with this!
JAMES - Honestly I don't know....but I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'll always be here for you...no matter what...okay!
Jesse nods, as James ran his hands through her hair.
JAMES - Always....
With that the two kissed again, this time for longer, neither of them wanted to pull away from the other.

From the road, Meowth, Ash, Brock, Misty and Pikachu were watching them.
MEOWTH - (With tears streaming down his cheeks) Dis is so sweet, dey make such a great couple.
ASH - this is gross
MISTY - Oh ash stop being so immature!
ASH - I'm not!
MISTY - YOU ARE!
ASH - NOT
MISTY - ARE
ASH - NOT
MISTY - ARE
Meowth and Brock just roll their eyes and sigh.....what an exciting day!!!!!
PIKACHU - Pi pikachu (Sure was!)
